The architects, the owners.

Casa 13 begun as a dream, and a kabbalistic coincidence. You see, my partner Margarita and I met the day I arrive in Mexico, in Tulum, on August 13.

From there begins an alliteration of the number 13 that will continue to repeat itself nonstop: I start living at number 13 on my street, Maggie at house number 13 on hers.

When we later move in together, we do it on 13th Street, and the day we buy the land for this house, in the notary’s office itself, we realize that the lot was the number 13, so something that for us was already a private joke, a challenge to the bad luck they say carries such an infamous figure, was somehow presented as a wink from Fortune.

Welcome to Casa 13, where we put all our love and care, where we tested ourselves to give the guest a memorable time.

The Studio.

We are an architecture studio based in Tulum. We design livable, honest, and well-built spaces. Our work begins with a rigorous attention to detail—from a texture or a joint to the entire atmosphere.

We design and fabricate everything a space may need, from furniture to decorative objects. We care as much about the idea as we do about its execution, and believe that every decision—no matter how small—builds identity.
